Long-term care ombudsmen are advocates who resolve problems associated with those receiving long term care in nursing homes, at-home, and assisted-living facilities.
The VICAP program (Virginia Insurance Counseling & Assistance) offers insurance counseling about Medicare, Medicaid, supplemental insurance and prescription drug plans.
Representatives from Southern Area Agency on Aging will be on hand to explain more about each program and how you can benefit from these services.
