What makes a hero? Is it the number of people he or she protects or the many lives saved? Desmond Doss is the embodiment of a hero. Serving as a medic in World War 2, Doss saved countless lives on the battlefield all without firing a shot or carrying a gun. Watch a film adaptation of his heroism at the Friday Evening Movie at the Library on September 8th at the Martinsville Library. Show starts at 6 pm. Free popcorn provided!!!
